Egger's Integrated Management System groups different requirements and aspects of a variety of standards and guidelines; these include, for example, ISO 9001 for quality, EN 13980 for quality in areas threatened by explosions, ISO 14001 for the environment, EKAS 6508 for health and occupational safety, ISPM 15 for wood packaging and participation as «known consignor» for air freight safety.

By maintaining its standards and norms, Egger guarantees continued improvement of its performance. This is being validated through such processes as internal and external audits and by means of administrative review. Already during the proposal stage and again later in the development phase, a variety of instruments help with quality plans, certifications, various fabrication tests, delivery date follow-ups, and customer satisfaction questionnaires, as well as provide for professional development and the high quality of the delivered product.
In the course of manufacturing, individual parts and components are subject to tight controls. The finally assembled and operation-ready pump will then be exposed to real-world operating conditions in the Testing Department. On the test stand, the performance of the pump will be checked with water as the test fluid. This reality-simulated test produces especially meaningful measured values, in contrast to purely mathematical checks. Egger tests its pumps against tolerances and procedures meeting internationally recognised standards and in accordance with petrochemical standards as well.

The production facilities of Egger Pumps are located in the unspoiled countryside between Jura-Südfuss and Lake Neuchâtel (Neuenburgersee). Maintaining this habitat in its natural state is of paramount importance to both management and employees. The environmental activities of the firm exceed the legal requirements of the Neuenburg Canton and the Swiss Confederation. The avoidance of environmental pollution, such as for example, by reducing emissions, maintaining water purity and optimizing and reducing energy consumption is of major importance to Egger.
The firm is motivated out of a sense of conviction to protect and sustain the climate. By voluntarily enrolling in the program of the Energy Agency for Business, Egger is making a contribution towards active reduction of CO2 emissions. For that, Egger is receiving the CO2 certificate of the Swiss Energy Agency for Business (EnAW).
Metallic and mineral waste stemming from production is systematically separated in the large recycling hall and subsequently reutilised. That permits the interim storage of all production waste, segregated by type. The recycling of cutting oils and emulsions is carried out internally in the machining centres. Contaminated water used in production and operations flows first through in-house wastewater pre-treatment before it is brought back to drinking water standards in the municipal wastewater treatment plant.
We set specific goals for our employees with regard to worker safety and preservation of health. The necessary measures are always taken whenever hazards are identified as well as after accidents or near-accidents. Some of these measures affect such areas as the wearing of protective clothing (safety shoes, eye protection, etc.), the elimination of dangerous substances, the restriction of flammable substances, the training and licensing of forklift truck operators, the acquisition of modern production machinery, noise isolation, and the maintenance and care of lifting devices.
Regulations related to First Aid are complied with and communicated within the firm. The efficiency of First Aid is assured through First Aid training of employees, quick response, and the necessary equipment. The legal requirements for working hours and the protection of apprentices and pregnant workers are respected.

Our products are produced in accordance with the required national and international quality certifications. In addition, we comply with the standards of our customer industries and the regulations of the destination country.
